Foodbank

The DCLM Food Bank is part of the Trussel Trust Food Bank Network, under the Central Liverpool Food Bank based at Front Line Church. The DCLM Food Bank provides 3 days’ worth of emergency non-perishable food and supplementary items to local people in crisis.

Aim of the Foodbank:
We support a nationwide network of food banks and together we provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for foodbanks in the UK.

We know it takes more than food to end hunger. That’s why we bring together the experiences of food banks in our network to challenge the structural economic issues that lock people in poverty, and campaign to end the need for food banks in the UK.

The Food Bank provides a non-judgemental service, a friendly environment and a listening ear to clients who are often in a vulnerable state. Where appropriate, clients are sign posted to other services to support them out of the crisis. The DCLM Food Bank is staffed by a diverse group of volunteers including professionals and students. The service is a highly commended and valued resource in the community.
